Macromedia announced today that it has shipped Macromedia Generator 2, their solution for personalizing, automating and visualizing graphical content for high-impact Web sites. Macromedia also announced that Generator will be available for Red Hat Linux, IBM AIX and Sun Solaris platforms in November, in addition to the Windows 95, 98 and NT version currently shipping.
Generator 2 provides a solution for sites delivering e-commerce, e-business, advertising, news and information services and financial services. It delivers targeted, real-time graphics and interactivity for Web sites that feature on-demand content.
Leading consulting firms Ogilvy Worldwide/Detroit and Braincraft are using Generator (see separate release) as part of their solutions for customers who want Web sites combining interactive graphics, charts, tables and animations with up-to-the-minute information.
