CMS' BounceBack Professional Combines Backup and Recovery
Next To No Intervention Required
Eric Grevstad

Mon 1/12/04 -- CMS Products is so proud of its new backup and disaster recovery software that it's not only bundling it with the company's ABSplus automatic and Velocity Series high-speed backup systems, but offering it as a standalone product.

The $99 BounceBack Professional safeguards data and applications from theft, loss, viruses, or hard disk failure by providing automatic, scheduled backup to any internal or external drive, maintaining multiple copies of specified files for version comparison or restoration while synchronizing the most recent versions of other files. The software creates a bootable backup copy of the source drive for instant recovery.

A QuickRestore feature enables rapid data rescue by restoring individual files and folders directly from the designated backup drive, while CMS' Automatic Launcher technology can initiate a backup upon connection of an external drive. BounceBack Professional supports internal IDE and Serial ATA drives and external USB and FireWire drives under Windows 98 SE, Me, NT 4, 2000, or XP.
